GSHA’s Social Media Policy

GSHA’s social media sites are for GSHA members and the public to share information, ask questions, and network.  GSHA’s Executive Director maintains and monitors all GSHA’s social media sites and will delete any inappropriate posts.  GSHA’s social media guidelines are as follows:

  • All comments, messages, and photos must be appropriate for a professional site.
  • Any comment, message, or photo that attacks, ridicules, denounces, impugns a person’s character, or imputes immoral or dishonorable attributes to others on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation will be deleted.
  • Any comment, message or photo not relevant to topics of interest to GSHA and its members will be deleted.
  • Duplicate posts will be deleted.
  • Advertisements will be deleted.
  • Job postings listed on social media sites will be deleted.  GSHA’s job postings are provided on the GSHA website for a fee.

GSHA’s social media policy is based on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) policy posted in the ASHA Facebook Page.
