GSHA's April 2025 Continuing Education Webinar
Introduction to Pediatric Feeding Disorders
Presented by:
Suzanne Deal, M.A., CCC-SLP, BCS-S
Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom

Abstract:
Do you work as an SLP with children with speech and language difficulties? How many of those children have concomitant pediatric feeding disorders? We will discuss the definition and incidence of pediatric feeding disorders. We will begin to answer the questions “How does an SLP who did not learn about PDFs in graduate school learn more about how to help this population?” “What are the next steps in expanding their practice to serve this growing population?” We will not be able to learn in one hour how to become a pediatric feeding specialist, but will learn what the next steps are to grow your knowledge and serve these children. We will also discuss the importance in all pediatric SLPs serving this ever growing (and extremely rewarding) population.
